Weather getting colder.. hols plans!

I've never been to Cornwall - it's on the bucket list for next summer before I get too old!
Where should I plan for? I can't walk very far, (no car) so would like a picturesque beach & a few shops close by. Prefer quiet to nightclubs etc.. think Enid Blyton type setting but with things to see in case of bad weather! Thanks..

My favourite place in Cornwall is St Ives, now I have always driven or had access to a car while traveling down there but there is definitely a train station and so much to browse and relax and the most amazing beaches! So I would recommend there as your base and I'm sure you could train to a few different places around if you wanted too.

Always thought St Ives looked glorious (only seen on TV, of course!)

Honestly, it's SO beautiful! Since been a child I must have been 15 times and it never gets old! So many good food options too, bars, cafes and of course pasty shops!
