Lymph swelling after Covid booster

Hi all

I had my Covid booster on Sunday 30th Oct, and noticed the next morning that I have a large 'bulge' in the front of my armpit with pain right to the back of the armpit. It has not gone down today, if anything it's bigger.

A Google shows that this is known as an uncommon but possible side-effect of the booster, but I wondered whether anybody else has experienced this, and how long it might last?

TIA

I got this!!! It lasted about three weeks after the jab and even now if I have an infection/cold/bug that armpit grumbles.
I told the people at my next jab and they said to report it as a side effect.
when it swelled again I rang GP who advised that as it was going up and down the gland was working as it should. Not gonna lie I’m actually off to doc again as it’s still slightly painful over nine months later.

My sister and I both had this after our booster. Only lasted a couple of days, so hopefully you'll feel better soon.
(We have both had lymph clearance with mastectomy, but always have jabs in the other arm as per instructions).

A few days for me. Painful but bearable.

Thanks so much for your replies ArseMenagerie and Four4me both really helpful.

I already have issues with the breast on that side due to menopausal swelling and asymmetry, but this just adds to the problems!

Hopefully it will go soon, hope yours does too.

I had this. Both on previous jab and this time. It goes away after about a week. It's your body firing your immune system. It's fine dont worry.

I got that reaction after my most recent vax, it freaked me out. But it is a known side effect, and it went after about 3 days.

I had it with my first and fourth jabs. Lasted about 5 days.

Thanks all. I feel less worried now :)
