I have just got back from my smear test, which was absolute agony. The lovely nurse used the smallest speculum, but it felt like she was trying to shove a watermelon up me.
She said that my cervix didn't have polyps and looked ok, but that my vagina (I think?) looked very red. She said we needed to do a swap as well so she went back in with the speculum and a swab. She asked about bleeding in between periods, which I think has been happening, but with PCOS my cycles are everywhere and it is hard to know what is going on.
I am so worried and angry with myself because I delayed my smear for over a year. Any support, advice or ideas would be welcomed.
