AIR FRYER....Best reasonably priced one?

Yankydoodledandy · 01/11/2022 16:35

I'm going to try and cut down on gas useage, my monthly payments are a joke.
So first stage is to invest in an airfryer.

Which one would you recommend?

What size? How many of you are there?

Chasingsquirrels · 01/11/2022 16:49

From what I've seen air fryers are more economical than electric ovens, but I'm not sure this is the case with gas ovens - worth checking out some details before you buy one if this is your main reason for doing so.

I've got an Instant Pot which can also be used as a pressure cooker and a slow cooker. It's been great for most things so far, apart from cakes, and is fine for me and DH - not sure how it would cope with a big family though.

I've got a salter one- was around £49 , quite dinky in size so ok to leave out all the time as takes next to no room up on a surface- but brilliant for the 2 of us

Yankydoodledandy · 02/11/2022 22:25

Ah yes I would need one I could leave out.

All the decent ones are oit of stock everywhere!

We've been after a 9 litre, 2 drawer one for months!

Spanglybangles · 05/11/2022 11:29

We have the Gourmia air fryer from Costco. They do it in 2 capacities. No complaints here and very reasonably priced, I love it. Ours was under £50. Costco price is the cheapest I believe but currently out of stock. It can be bought on Amazon but at a higher price.

Isn't there an Aldi ninja-a-like? Someone posted a thread yesterday.

Floralnomad · 05/11/2022 12:46

Have you looked at the halogen ovens , we had a Ninja foodie but I found I didn’t use it anywhere as much as my halogen oven so I got rid of it .

Hi @Yankydoodledandy just wanted to point you in the direction of our dedicated page for the best air fryers as recommended by Mumsnet users - it's an up-to-date top 10 list of what's currently in stock (they are selling out quickly at the moment though!) Hope it's of some use - let us know if you've any feedback on the page Smile
