“Rebooting” stomach *warning tmi*

I’ve been quite ill for the last 3 weeks which means I haven’t eaten anything. I’m now starting to want to eat again which is great, except half an hour after finishing food, I immediately have to go to the toilet and have explosive diarrhoea.

How can I reboot my stomach, so to speak

That sounds horrible! My mum used to suggest starting with dry toast when I'd been ill, could you try that?

After I had been in hospital for a week, on a liquid diet and having all sorts of miserable tests, it was recommended that I eat plain yoghurt.

I would try dry toast, plain salted crisps, boiled rice, trees apple, cooked chicken breast. Literally a spoonful at a time.

You need probiotics and a bland diet. You won’t have to do it forever and it really is bland!
