Air fryer basket

The basket of my Cosori air fryer is very well-used after nearly two years...some of the black is fading off. Is it still safe to use? I've googled at length but can't find a definitive answer.

If there is no difference in taste and the unit doesn’t smell different when in operation then I would carry on using it.

You could try and contact the manufacture if you are able to.

If you are concerned, you could line the basket with baking paper (from a roll or a ready made liner)

I have just discovered air fryer liners, amazing little things. I got mine off Amazon for £8.49 for 100, we've got the larger Ninja air fryer. I know some people may think they are a waste of money, but I love them, no more cleaning the air fryer.
I'm sure your basket is fine but if you're worried about it you could try using the liners. They only work out at 8.5p per liner, definitely worth the cost.

I've looked at liners but then the fat/liquids won't run through the little holes in the basket - which is (I thought) an essential part of how the food is cooked?

I did contact Cosori but no reply yet.

Update - I've just seen perforated ones! Smile
