Anyone else can’t get rid of cough?

DC1 brought something home from preschool 4-5 weeks ago and DH and I caught it after. Feel a bit run down, chesty cough, but functional. Couldn’t shift it before my planned Caesarean and its still hanging around three weeks later. I feel alright but sometimes just get a chesty cough!

I reckon it’s my lowered immune system postnatally and I’ve been much more sedentary after the Caesar. Wondering if anyone else had this and how long it took you to shift it. I’m definitely bette but obviously want to het rid of the cough all togethe. Im also tired of random cough attacks and poor baby DC2 is going to associate mummy with the sound of a hacking cough 😷

(oh and probably not covid, have done tests regularly Over the past weeks!)

DD has had a snotty nose from the day she started nursery in September. I've had blocked sinuses from a cold I had weeks ago. We can't seem to shift anything!

@RambamThankyouMam you have my sympathies, its awful!

I’m not sure whether I’m just getting new infections or what, DC hasn’t had much mire than a runny nose occasionally and my cough seems to come and go, but the chesty hacking is always there 😫

Its exhausting! I’m on mat leave so haven’t got to worry about missed work, but not keen on passing whatever I’ve got on to my newborn 😟
