Just coming to have a rant really. I have a blocked ear, that's it, and it's slowly chipping away at my sanity. I'm autistic and my god I'm not handling it well! I want to sit in a silent dark room...

I am also heavily heavily pregnant which is also an assault on the senses, so generally I'm horrendous company at the moment but trying to hold it together Halloween Grin

I’d like to clarify that I’m sending you imaginary unscented pollen free fabric flowers that don’t have a weird texture.

Having a blocked ear is so disorientating.

You can get them syringed at private clinics and some Specsavers ...it doesn't cost much. You do need to have been putting oil in there for a week or two though.

Oh I didn't know this... I've been putting drops in since Friday I think so if they are no better in a few days I will see if I can book somewhere

I hate having blocked ears! Last time I used a netti pot to flush out my sinuses which gave me my hearing back temporarily, it seemed to keep me going for a bit!

Please do not do this: I had a 'blocked ear' flushed as a teenager, which drove what was a fairly simple infection into my inner ear and permanently damaged my hearing.

I used to get my ears syringed as a kid all the time!

When I had mine done they checked very carefully for any signs of infection and wouldn't have done it if the blockage was anything other than wax. There is also the option of micro suction depending on the situation which they advise on.
