Anyone else tucking into the trick-or-treaters' sweets already?

I've had two mini bags of Maltesers and a mini Twix. Feeling a bit sick now TBH

I've eaten 2 popping candy eyeballs.

AmberGer · 31/10/2022 13:41

Kind of... I've put the sweets and chocs in a bowl ready for later but taken out my favourite chocs (twirl and flake) and hidden them in the cupboard for me to eat later 😂
I've left in curly wurlys etc.

TellMeItsNotTrue · 31/10/2022 13:41

No, only because I purposefully buy stuff I don't like but kids will 😂

Yep
I now need to nip out for more

Comefromaway · 31/10/2022 13:47

I've removed the mini snickers from the celebrations (can't be giving little ones peanuts now can I)

gwenneh · 31/10/2022 13:48

Yes.
The baby has croup, I've barely managed to get anything done, and I'm exhausted. Eating my body weight in sweets sounds perfectly reasonable.

BeastOfBODMAS · 31/10/2022 13:48

‘Mislaid’ 3 boxes of jellybeans so far

FlakeySalt · 31/10/2022 13:51

The bag of fun size bars I bought had a BOGOF offer and only one bag has made it into the TorT bowl.

I admire your willpower! 😁 I did think of doing that as I hovered in the big Sainsbury's, torn between the massive Haribo bag and the smaller, more expensive Mars chocolate family favourites. In the end my own avarice won out.

A good trick I learnt a few years ago was leaving an empty plastic bowl outside saying please help yourself to one. Then they just think they're too late for yours and don't knock 🤣

OldTinHat · 31/10/2022 14:42

@WhatICallMyPumpkin That's bloody genius!! I shall do that immediately!

MonkeyPuddle · 31/10/2022 14:44

I purposefully bought myself a multipack of mini fudges. I have eaten every one. Spooky how they just disappeared.

mondaytosunday · 31/10/2022 14:59

Yes I took all the mini snickers and flakes out.

AntiqueCestChic · 31/10/2022 15:11

I've eaten all the bountys in the celebration tub.

Been telling myself that kids don't like coconut sweets so I'm doing them a favour.

😊

Not yet, but have come very close a few times! The only thing that’s stopping me is I know once I start I’ll eat the lot and have to go back out and buy more!

“Kids don’t eat snickers do they?” DH eyeing up the bowl hopefully.

creamwitheverything · 31/10/2022 16:48

Guilty as charged OP !! I bought a load last weekend to get in front, fat lot of good that did I have had to replenish the lot twice! Technically not just me but dh and dd! Shameful behaviour and cost about £35 quid so far! We are glutons, happy glutons but glutons all the same!

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 31/10/2022 16:59

No, because I couldn’t find any mini packs of Smarties - the ones I usually buy loads of, in the hope of there being plenty left over.🐷

mum2jakie · 31/10/2022 17:01

Just done a bit of quality control with the powdery lollies!
