Please help me with my presentation on Automation in the Workplace!

Returned to college after decades out of education. I've to do a presentation next week and chose Automation in the Workplace.

I am finding lots of stats on which jobs are most and least likely to be automated, which I will turn into graphs.

However I want to do an overview of automation for my introduction and cannot for the life of me find a proper list of the different 'types' of automation. All the sources I'm finding say completely different things!

I'm wondering if anyone could give me a nudge in the right direction..

Thanks!

www.ibm.com/uk-en/topics/automation

ibm are automation market leaders - their content would help with establishing a good framework for a piece of research

What industry would it be for?

IT, manufacturing or something else ?

pick one and focus on that. A narrower subject matter will help.

many non-value add repeatable processes can be automated.

And you can't create a list from this? Sounds ideal source materials for a list.

(why did you choose this? and how are you defining workplace automation?)

Thanks everyone. I think I've managed to work out the main types of automation from the links posted.

Why I chose it is I'm studying Administration with Finance and our presentation has to be relevant to the course. I read a large study on automation of work a few years ago and so I thought it would be a good choice.
