Looking for best of both worlds...

Just back from a week with the whole family in Fuerteventura, it was lovely but my brothers are foodies and got sick of the all inclusive food very quickly so we basically used the hotel for breakfast, drinks and made sandwiches for lunch then went out for dinner every night. In an ideal world we are definitely the sort of holidayers that would choose to have a lovely villa, head to the supermarket each day to pick up BBQ/tapas bits/wine and chill all day. However, I'm the only one with kids and have another due in February which obviously ruins a lot of the relaxing 🤣🤣 My kids love kids club, are really sociable and enjoy meeting other children around a communal pool, I know they would be bored around adult company in a villa but, it would make it easier with the baby as you can put them to bed.

So, my question is, is there a best of both worlds? I was saying the perfect solution would be a nice villa with a private pool but connected to a resort so we could take the kids up there for a few hours a day but I can just imagine it being really claustrophobic... Links warmly welcomed. Thank you!
