Inspired by another thread.
Many years ago when I was class teacher of 33 7/8 year olds we went on a Victorian Schools experience. It was an excellent morning for the DCs who got very involved and loved it. They were particularly taken with the punishments.
They returned to the classroom demanding lines.
An orderly queue formed at the blackboard waiting to put a nose in a chalk circle.
They reorganised the furniture so there were 4 corners to stand in.
An enterprising lad made dunce caps from the scrap paper box.
They requested dip pens and inkwells.
Also slates.
Any other teachers had a similar experience? The novelty wore off after a week but it was such fun while it lasted.
