Always losing phone chargers - lighthearted

I keep misplacing mine! Does this happen to anyone else? I am the only one in the house that uses a USB-C cable (shared adaptor) but it's endlessly going missing! I cart it to work or to different rooms and then eventually it's Gone! I buy a new one and a.couple of months later I am short again!

I am scatty though as its the same with socks. Sigh.

I have several plugged in in different rooms, one in the car, one at work because I bloody hate not being able to find a charger!

When my son lived at home they were always going missing no many how many I bought and it infuriated me!

I do lose socks though - haven't found a solution to that!

I have one in the living room, one in the bedroom, one at work and one for the car. You need more than one.

Chamomileteaplease · 30/10/2022 11:11

This is exactly it. Never move them! They must stay where they are and hence you must have about four. Honestly, your whole life will be so improved 😄.

That's why I have at least 5! Kitchen, study, bedroom, car and handbag. Plus the ones that I originally lost, which resurface every so often.

I also now make sure that mine are colourful. Everyone else's at home are black, grey or white, so mine are different to theirs. And stand out when I'm looking for one. Much easier to find a bright orange cable in a tangle of cables that have fallen behind a desk.

I ordered another and a plug this morning and have found 3 cables while tidying this morning. It is probably a reflection that I need more order in my life generally! I do have a teen and preteen so that may have something to do with it. 🙃

You need sock pairers (of almost any design). Keep them where you get undressed and stick a sock through each section as soon as you take them off. Wash and hang out like that. You can even put the socks away in your drawer without unpairing them. In our family each member has a different colour of design of sock pairer, which makes sorting clean laundry so much easier as well. Game changer.

I'm always losing things but I'm ok with my phone charger. I just keep it by my bed to charge overnight and then I don't need one anywhere else as i don't run out of charge before I go to bed again! Actually there is one in the living room that I occasionally use in the evening. Just don't take your charger anywhere!

In my house 2 people have Apple phones, 1 has a Samsung and we have a few other gadgets like headphones that need chargers.
I bought a 3 draw plastic storage thing. Labelled the drawers...
Apple

Samsung
Others
You'd think that would be simple and clear?
No. Apparently that's far to complicated.
Our family motto is currently "Where is the charger....who moved the f-ing charger?"

I use Sugru to personalise my iPhone chargers. They now stay with me until they naturally perish.
