Can't figure out the left side, but right side says 九谷 Kutani, Japanese.

Can you post a clearer picture of the mark? The top left really looks like Korean handwritten 자 more than any Chinese character or Japanese hiragana/katakana, but I could definitely be wrong. Can't see what's on bottom left

I agree, the top left looks more Korean rather than Japanese. But I can also think that it could be Japanese/Kanji character made into something more decorative and original, like the Kanji on the left made into.
So it could be that, or it could be made by someone who know nothing about Japanese/Chinese/Korean languages tried to make the mark looks authentic. But if they want to forge the mark and fool the client, are they that stupid to mix languages?
I'd rather take my first guess, it's a decorative mark, original to the maker.

Of course it's a different story if it was bought in the pound shop. Second guess is definitely possible.
