Considering hiring out a second car as host on platform like Turo or Hiyacar. Pitfalls?

As above. We are looking into getting a second car but would only need it 2-3 times a week. Thinking of hiring it out to help pay for itself. Like Airbnb for cars. Car hire in our area is really difficult to come by so actually could be a valuable service locally. Does anyone currently have experience doing this? If so what kinds of cars would be popular to hire? What considerations would we need to think about for insurance, etc.?

I’ve never heard of such a thing but I would assume the insurance issues could be very complicated and expensive.

I can imagine there are a lot of things to think about:

Speeding, fines, accidents, their insurance, deposits,

Hadn’t thought about speeding. Good point.

I'd also be thinking about how your car is treated by someone.
