Hi posting for traffic in chat hoping any senior nurses can help me.....I have applied for a post for a new team being rolled out in my county, I relocated here last year and have a 90 mile round drive to work atm and this post is perfect. I have been qualified for 24 years all worked in the community and it is quite a niche service that had already been rolled out in my current area so I have spot on the experience they are looking for. The problem is they only advertised band 6 or 8a (8a at ACP level) but I currently work as a 7 as a Clinical Practitioner and applied for a band 6 in the new area as I don't have the Masters. I have been invited to interview and having spoke with the woman in charge of the recruitment I am being interviewed for the 6 post but will be considered for the 8a due to my level of experience.
So my question really is should I expect the questions to be for a band 6 along with all the other candidates? Have spoken to her a few times and she seems really nice, told me she will go through the questions then we will have an informal chat at the end. I am so so nervous and I have not had an interview for many years and do not really talk the talk like so many of my brilliant colleagues can. I am worried that if I was offered the 8 (by some miracle of god) I would be a disappointment to them - can you tell I lack confidence?! Any tips??
