Wondering if anyone has any thoughts on what more I can do. I have a DS10 who is very very lively and chatty all day long. He's a lovely boy and is very very sociable and goes to different sports clubs after school to keep him active but it just does not wear him out.
He always up early and is bouncing off the walls from early morning to when we drag him to bed. Will never admit he's tired and gets up at the same time every day no matter what time he went to bed at. It's just such hard work.
When I take him out everyone comments on how lovely and 'exuberant' he is!! They don't have to put up with it! I feel like I am constantly nagging at him to calm down, stop shouting, stop jumping up and down etc etc.
He does reasonably well at school. Better at practical lessons than formal sit down ones but still does well and the teachers have not mentioned anything so I don't want to bring it up as a problem with them.
I said to my husband this morning (his father) he needs to take him out for a run this morning. It's like we're talking about a dog! But in actual fact I know it won't calm him down at all and will make little difference.
What would you do?
