NON movable pea size lump on the back of DD head

Just found a non movable lump on the back of of DD head in the centre to the right a bit, she is 7 months old, trying not to panic as every thread seems to say things about Moveable lumps being lymph nodes, but because it’s non movable I’m worried, going to make an app tomorrow with the gp but for the meantime has anyone found anything like this on the back if their lo head and it be okay? Suffer badly with health anxiety since my daughter has been born, between thinking I’m going to find out I’m terminally ill, I fear for my daughter as well :(

It sounds like a good first step - to call the gp. Try not to worry - It could be lots of things - does it feel bony or softer?

They're usually just cysts. My sister had one but just had it removed. No problem.
Best to get it checked out and treated.

I haven’t had experience of this and you should certainly get it checked out, but it’s almost certainly a fatty cyst, or a little bony lump or some other harmless thing.

The lump behind my daughter’s ear is immovable and fairly hard, it’s just a swollen lymph node and has now not changed in years, been checked by docs etc. Some babies and young kids are so slim you can feel every one of nature’s lumps and bumps. Get it checked by all means but try not to worry, it’s extremely likely to just be a raised node from fighting infection x

My baby had a little lump on her head similar to what you describe but a bit bigger and more towards the top of the head… I had it checked by the GP and she wasn’t concerned but said come back if it gets bigger. It disappeared a week or 2 later. Best to get it checked but try not to panic.

My son who's now 11 months had one about 8 months but Behind his ear and it was hard, but he was teething at the time, he's had one tooth after another come through not really had a break. I panicked like you but it went down after a little bit, think it had something to do with his lymph nodes and maybe his teeth we went to the doctors and they said to give it time and to go back if it didn't go down because he was absolutely fine in himself x

Could it be a gland? I sometimes get raised hard lumps on back of my head when under the weather / fighting minor infection and gp said it was a gland

Try not to worry too much.
My son had a pea sized, non-moveable lump when he was about 20 months old...it was a blocked pore (or something similar - it was a long time ago).
My daughter also had one, in her mouth. Again, nothing terrible - tissue damage from accidentally biting inside her lip.

Please don't worry too much. See the GP or HV.
