Sticky stuff

Sherrystrull · 28/10/2022 13:58

One of my children put a sticker on the wall of a Perspex panel in our house.

I cannot get the blasted thing off! The sticky stuff left behind is refusing to budge.

I've tried, nail varnish remover, cif, magic eraser, washing up Liquid and tons and tons of elbow grease.

Has anyone got any suggestions?

There’s a product called sticky stuff remover which is great. I’ll be trying hairspray next time though and if it works it’ll save me money!

Give coke a try

Alcohol. Hand sanitiser works a treat.

De solv-it pretreatment spray is good for removing sticky stuff.

WD40

Oil. Soak it in oil then gently remove with a rubber spatula.

I'm going to try the oil and wd40 tomorrow.

Nail polish remover-I have to do this at work sometimes and it really does work
soak the cotton wool and hold it to the sticky stuff for about 20 seconds an wipe it off
buff with a soft cloth-problem done

Sticky stuff remover is what we used to use to clean sticky stuff from shelves when I worked at B&Q…

Yep this works a treat. We have been using it at work gor years before covid to remove stickers put on cash mac

TwoRockSalmonAndAHaporthOfChips · 28/10/2022 23:02

Vegetable oil. It seems counter intuitive but it takes off even the most persistent labels from jars and bottles I want to reuse.

DeanStockwooooo · 28/10/2022 23:04

Grrrr

Put on cash machine that all other products won't get off.

MintyGreenDreams · 28/10/2022 23:04
