Chase banking

I'm furious with chase.

I used my chase card to put petrol in my car then forgot to transfer money over so when the money came off it took me into unarranged overdraft.

They sent me a message to tell me about the unarranged overdraft and could I transfer money into the account. So I transferred money over - way more than the overdraft amount.

Went to use my card and it got declined. Contacted chase and they've said the relevant team needs to review the account. This is day 3 and I still can't get access to my money. They just keep saying the account needs reviewed and they can't give a timeframe.

Well you were in the wrong so I don't think there's much you can do but wait.

So in their eyes, you spent money you didn't have and somehow they're in the wrong?

Why did you need to transfer money over? Surely you put money in an account and then spend it, not the other way round?

If you want to buy petrol but keep your money elsewhere, why not use a credit card? Then you just transfer it over in one go just before the direct debit for the bill comes out.

I use chase to put my shopping and petrol money in as a way to manage my finances. I forgot to double check I had enough in the account to cover the petrol. I realise this was my fault but to deny me access to my funds for 3 days is a bit ott. I transferred the money through as soon as the notification came through that I was overdrawn.

No I can't access my account at all. Even the app to check my balance transfer money etc. If I knew this I would have just transferred over enough to clear the overdraft and kept my money in my other account. I transferred hundreds of pounds over.

I have chase and it’s never let me use it if there isn’t money in there - ie unplanned overdraft. I’ve been declined when trying to use it at pay at the pump fuel stations.

Can you move money from there in to one of your other accounts? Or do the live chat?
