Just wondering if you have not had any vaccines, have you had covid?

OP posts:
dingit · 27/10/2022 22:22

No

Leemoe · 27/10/2022 22:25

Yes, caught it from a double vaxxed family member whom I was caring for at the time.

And we all lived to tell the tale with no lasting effects.

Msgrieves · 27/10/2022 22:30

OK. I don't know if I have had it tbh. Had 2 respiratory diseases since 2020.

I'm not vaccinated. Had it a few weeks ago. Was like. I didnt realise until 4 days in. Thought it was a cold/ winter virus.

piano789 · 27/10/2022 22:33

Yes all four of us have had it. One Dd had it and none of us caught it then six months later the rest of us caught it.

Msgrieves · 27/10/2022 22:33

How did you know it was covid?

OP posts:
FlixingTheNet · 27/10/2022 22:37

I had it at the start of the year, felt achy and had a temp so tested and it was positive.

piano789 · 27/10/2022 22:41

oldest Dd took a test at a centre and the rest of us took lft tests. The day before they were negative yet felt achy.

Wiluli · 27/10/2022 22:55

Yes I had it once back this June . Wasn’t any worse than a bug a bit of a fever

Dacadactyl · 27/10/2022 22:59

Yes I've had it and was fine tbh. Just a bit cold feeling and slightly run down. Nothing to write home about and I've had worse colds. DH not vaccinated either but he was quite poorly with covid, although he perked up after about 5 days.

SpinningFloppa · 27/10/2022 23:01

Don’t know if I’ve had it as I’ve never tested

homegrownpumpkin · 27/10/2022 23:02

I wasn't vaccinated until very recently and I've never had it.

littlebird13 · 27/10/2022 23:04

Had a fever for a few hours. Dh was the same. Unsure if DD's have had it as I wouldn't test them

mondaytosunday · 27/10/2022 23:07

Are you surprised? Most people who have covid, vaccinated or not, will be fine. Apparently a third of those who have had it had no symptoms.
It's those few who get it badly, suffer long covid or die that may benefit from being vaccinated, and you can't tell which one you are.

user1745 · 27/10/2022 23:11

I haven't had any vaccines and I've never had Covid.

user1745 · 27/10/2022 23:11

*to my knowledge, I should add.

stayathomegardener · 27/10/2022 23:12

Had it badly 03/20.

And again 07/22 where it was between a bad cold/flu, I still have long covid from the original infection though.

DailyMailHater · 27/10/2022 23:12

I‘m unvaccinated had it and was like having flu,
DH unvaccinated (fit, healthy - ran marathons, competed in iron man comps) caught and ended up in hosp on ventilator thankfully recovered (was awful few weeks as we weren't sure which way it would go) this was 4 months ago and still have lasting effects…”Covid brain” (has words in his head by he can’t form the sentence) can’t run more than 2k, extreme fatigue at time.
has affected us both so differently even though he was fitter / healthier both had no underlying health conditions 🤷🏻‍♀️

JudgeRindersMinder · 27/10/2022 23:14

I’m fully vaxxed and have had covid 3 times.
my ds who isn’t vaxxed (lives with us) has he had it once. None of us has caught it from each other 🤷🏼‍♀️

Miss1995 · 27/10/2022 23:18

I've not had any vaccines

I had covid and lost my sense of smell for 3 days, that was it. I might have had it again but I never bothered testing. None of my immediate family have had the vax either and are all absolutely fine, alive and well. Ironically I know a few triple/ quadruple jabbed people who have been seriously ill with covid. Everyone I know who is unvaxed seems to be fine

JudgeRindersMinder · 27/10/2022 23:19

I should add I only had the 3rd vac for travel, I won’t be having any more

SavingsThreads · 27/10/2022 23:27

If you're unvaccinated and haven't had it, would you consider helping the researchers and scientists work out why? They're often asking for such people as they think it'll help with treatments

XenoBitch · 27/10/2022 23:31

I am not vaccinated, and I had Covid in the summer. Purely anecdotal, I know, but I sailed through it whereas the vaccinated people I know had a really rough time with Covid.

I'm part of of an official vaccine control group.

Lifeisrelentless · 28/10/2022 18:41

I’m not vaccinated , had covid about 6 months ago, was like a bad cold with a headache that went behind the eyes, felt a bit run down but was okay other than that
