Pint of Shires Please?

Why can you only get one type of beer in The Archers? Is the local brewery missing out on a trick? 😀

At least they make a proper order. In most soaps/shows they just order "beer" or "a pint".

@BlueBar - That is because you can only get Shires on The Archers!

The Bull used to be tied to Stourhampton Brewery so could only sell their beers, of which Shires is the most popular. When Jack and Peggy Woolley took it over (1959) the Bull became a free house but they continued selling Shires along with unnamed guest beers. At one stage it was a CAMRA pub.

But did they actually sell any other beers? Most breweries produce more than one.
