My dd (9) definitely would. She's put modelling clay on her Xmas list.

Skinnybluebody · 26/10/2022 18:56

My 11 year old has some and uses it regularly

livingthegoodlife · 26/10/2022 19:15

Yes definitely. I saw a similar kit today which looked good. I'll try & find a link.

livingthegoodlife · 26/10/2022 19:17

My kids were v interested in this hey-clay.com/

NuffSaidSam · 26/10/2022 19:17

Yep modelling clay/polymer clay is great, loads of adults who craft use it so it's definitely not too young (although maybe pick a different brand one so it's in a more grown up box?).

CrazySchoolTimes · 26/10/2022 19:22

Yes, I think mine would.

TheGriffle · 26/10/2022 19:24

My 9 year old would and has asked for air dry clay for Christmas after getting some last year as well.

ProperSorryFrown · 26/10/2022 19:46

DD stores FIMO. Does the air dry clay eventually flake I wonder?

Paddingtonthebear · 26/10/2022 19:47

Y5 DD has just turned 10 and would play with that. Also Likes fiddling about with blu tack a lot these days!

Needmorelego · 26/10/2022 19:49

Looks awesome. Perfect for that age.

CottonSock · 26/10/2022 19:50

There are sets that look a bit more grown up, but otherwise yes. Our set has bits to make jewellery etc

liveforsummer · 26/10/2022 19:55

Yea probably but probably just once - it would likely end up stuck in the carpet and crumbling everywhere so I'd be less keen. Agree a bit more grown up equivalent- fimo etc might be a better option

Quornflakegirl · 26/10/2022 20:00

My 10 year old girls would.

reelcat · 26/10/2022 20:16

Yes! She has had some in the past and really enjoyed it and I know she still would at this age

ProperSorryFrown · 26/10/2022 20:41

*Loves! Not stores

MoggyMittens23 · 26/10/2022 20:43

Thanks for all the responses, sounds like it's fine! I meant this specific one btw! Not air dry clay in general!

A pack of the inexpensive ultra light air dry stuff that dries to a foam type texture is guaranteed to get all of mine sitting and making stuff, they are aged from 10 up to 16.

MoggyMittens23 · 26/10/2022 20:44

Ideally I would get one that looks a bit more grown up but I do already have that one and if it's not terribly babyish (inside looks good, it's just the box!!) then I think ill stick with it

liveforsummer · 26/10/2022 20:51

If you already have it it's absolutely fine!

MoggyMittens23 · 27/10/2022 08:55

Fab thanks!
