I'm trying to renew our car insurance at the moment, so have been on the usual price comparison sites.
Compare the Market brings up a list of quotes in price order, so I went to the cheapest one, and clicked through to take out the policy - the price on the providers website was suddenly £400 more than the price on the comparison site.
Next quote down, the same
Next one below that, £800 (!!) more
Is this some sort of marketing scam by them to tempt you in and then hike up the prices?
Or am I missing something in the quote process?!
