I play the piano & have always wanted to play the sax. I imagine it’s quite expensive & not particularly easy. Any feedback welcome.

Well it's a musical instrument so of course it's not easy. Not a cheap instrument. Choice of soprano, alto, tenor or baritone. Reed instrument as well so you've got the breathing and the fingering going on.

I started 4 years ago. If you play the piano I dont think it will be too hard. I am around grade 4 at the moment and I rarely practice (could have been much better would I have a better discipline).
I got my sax here:
www.gear4music.com/orchestral/woodwind/saxophones/alto?_gl=15s4jdg_up*MQ..&gclid=Cj0KCQjwteOaBhDuARIsADBqReh5IxXlVl8unid4Up6wOZd8IKPkYhgZAAI-1RZi56zMeq6z2_cFTkMaAuViEALw_wcB

Just the cheapest one and its good for a beginner. I used to get 30 mins lessons weekly which worked out at £60 a month. I dropped that for now and gave that money to my son to play an instrument. We both also play in a band. Have a google around or ask on fb, there are loads of bands around at ours that invite people of all levels to play.

Forgot to say, I would recommend alto to start with.
