What MPG do you really get?

We are in the process of looking at a new (used) car. We will hey an SUV. Safety rating is the highest priority but next is MPG. It's so hard to get actual figures. If you have a newish non electric SUV what MPG are you regularly getting, and what fuel?

3l Diesel, Range Rover Vogue 2021, about 30mpg on a good day, never higher

Do you know about this site? Users submit their real MPGs for different models.
(I don't drive an SUV and am a little bit horrified at those numbers!)

Nissan Qashqai, it varies obviously depending on journey - used to get around 62MPG when doing lots of ling motorway journeys. Now do more town driving mixed in and current average is 52MPG. (I'm loving this as my previous Peugeot 206cc was 35mpg!)

(Diesel for mine)

54mpg. Might be better if it wasn't so hilly here.

Just realised I don't know what an SUV is. Is it one of those Chelsea Tractors that most people don't need to use?

green82 · 26/10/2022 20:02

@Frith2013 yep....not sure they're the car to go for if MPG is a concern!
