Hoovers ?

I have 2 hoovers (long story..boring). A Miele and a Dyson a V7 I think . I have neck issues and only use the Miele for big jobs or if the Dyson battery runs out and I need to finish the job. Dyson is my go to day to day, easy, flexible and good for nooks and crannies, and primarily easy on my neck.

But the Dyson is not the be all and end all. Total faff to clean out and is a bit precious about what it will and won't hoover up. It is 4 years old. Considering getting a new Dyson or Dysonesque hoover as my current one doesn't seem as efficient as it once was. I am getting a dog and so know it will be required more frequently than it is currently.

Any recommendations, suggestions or advice on options would be appreciated. Seen Sharks and the like but have had mixed reviews. Are the newer Dysons anymore efficient at emptying, hoovering but have to admit the hefty price tag is really off putting.

Thanks in advance.
