Bollocks, right?

I mean, you are never going to get hundreds of pounds paid into your paypal account for sitting playing solitaire, are you?

Is it some sort of swindle?

You're right. It's bollocks. They all require you to make "in app purchases" so all you will do is waste your time and money for a small prize at first to whet your appetite and keep you playing then you'll win nothing else.

Keep well clear.

I've known a couple of people try the ones where you just get paid for playing.

There's a minimum amount you have to 'earn' before you can cash out.

The money goes up quickly, then when you get within £1 of being able to cash out you get nowhere so I would say its a scam.

It's pennies not hundreds. Pointless. Do surveys if you want to make some cash on the side (even that's more like £30 a month).

Actually some of them do payout without in-app purchases, BUT you usually have to reach a ridiculously high level in your first week/month which would mean playing 8 hours a day for that time. I think those ones usually want more players because they tend to be ones where you play "against" someone else.

The playing against someone else thing is usually faked, you play against AI. There is absolutely no reason to do that unless you're talking about a real game where the developer cares about the player experience. The games for cash are incredibly boring games that churn out hundreds of ads. You may as well just do one of the services that gives you cash for watching ads and leave the phone running in a corner (and I wouldn't bother honestly because you'll eat into those miniscule "earnings" keeping it charged).

The reason you ramp up loads of points initially is to develop a sense of oh this is great, this is easy, this is rewarding, (ie dopamine hooking) and they hope that will make you stick with it.

It’s crazy isn’t it? They are all I see at the moment, it’s horrible to think that desperate people might get sucked in.
