Award evening for Gcses

My ds left school in June, got very good results in his Gcses and is now enjoying life at 6th form college. However when does he receive his actual Gcse certificate? I also attended the same school (many years ago!) and I seem to remember an Awards evening in the October time. We received our certificates and pupils received various awards for attendance etc. I have heard nothing from his school and I don't think it's even occurred to my son. He will need his certificate at some point. Just tried to call the school as I work term time but obviously there is nobody there during half term.

Google says they're posted to the school approx 3 months after results day. Which would be towards the end of November.

Thanks. Next step was to ask Google!

DD's old school did an awards evening towards the end of November.
If you look on the school calendar it might be there.
They don't print the certificates until all reviews & appeals etc are done which is why they aren't printed until sometime in November.
(ps They shouldn't charge your DS for collecting them.)
