Haven’t heard of that one! Is there one in hitchin or am I making that up?

There is one in Ware. The name escapes me but it’s on the main shopping road. Definitely something East Herts is lacking in I think.
Depending on DD age there is also Leaf in Hertford which is a kid’s bookshop/cafe. To a casual observer you’d think it was just a cafe though!

has anyone got any experience of next page books in hitchin? It seems to be a fairly new childrens bookshop.

I work with independent bookshops - the people who run Next Page are lovely! I haven't been to it, but they have been really pleasant.

Equally, David's is also lovely as are the people at Book Nook in Ware.

There's Books on the Hill in St Albans too, which hasn't been there long - they opened in 2019. It's small but very atmospheric and in a lovely 17thc building (and they claim to have a resident ghost!).

It's here

Thanks, i think I’ll pop into next page books and David’s this afternoon x
