Almost continuous sore throat

I'm at my wits end really. For about 2 - 3 months I've pretty much had a constantly sore throat. Some days are worse than others. Today my throat is so sore it hurts to talk. I've checked for covid many times as I know it's a symptom but it's always negative.

Any ideas what it could be? I'm doing an econsult tomorrow but I'm just fed up to be honest

I have exactly this issue. Have you got other symptoms? I’ve got a headache most of the time too.

Reflux sounds like a strong possibility.

@Redheadredemption I've got headaches on and off but that's more because I need new glasses I think.

@Pirrin I do get heart burn so this could be likely actually

I had this a few years ago, it was Strep throat. It took several courses of antibiotics and gargling with medicated mouthwash twice a day to clear it up.

Post nasal drip? I had a steroid nasal spray from the pharmacy that cured mine.
