Pulling my hair out here. I didn't realise there's two applications, Whatsapp Desktop or Whatsapp Web. Only desktop has call/video functions, web is txt only. I used to have Whatsapp Desktop & I can't remember what happened but I ended up needing to download it again. I mistakenly downloaded Whatsapp Web the 2nd time. Realising my mistake that I can no longer do live video I uninstalled WA web & went to reinstall WA desktop - only it will not sync with my phone no matter what I do. I've tried every fix I can find with no result. Can anyone help?
This is what I've tried so far:
Checking my phone is connected to the wifi, trying mobile data instead.
Logging out & in again on my phone.
Clearing the cache on my phone & laptop.
Reset my phone's network setting.
Checked my camera lens is clean.
Disabled my browser extensions.
Updated my browser.
Tried different browsers.
