What sort of things would you like to be left to eat / drink?

Giant chocolate buttons, bottle of ginger beer and a bag of naice crisps.

I always ask our housesitters what food they'd like em to get them in for the first few days. Then add a couple of bottles of wine and some treats

Bottle of fizzy pop
Large carton of fruit juice
Maybe a wine of they drink
Posh crisps
Maryland cookies
Box of Mal teasers
Crackers and cheese
Loaf of bread
Milk
Some oven meals (lasagne/ fish pie etc)
Mints or hard boiled sweets

Tea, coffee, milk, bread, butter, cheese, salad, and a couple of ready meals in the freezer. I don't drink alcohol so wouldn't need that though.

I'd love some sweet treats and pop, and honestly probably some cash for a cheeky takeaway!!

How long are we talking?

I always provided my own food but the lovely couple I use to house sit for would leave me wine. It was a joke between us after the first time I sat, the man nearly broke his back moving the recycling bin with all the empty bottles of wine. I use to drink theirs then replace it, it wasn’t until their DD, my friend came over to my place with several bottles of wine for me I found out they had actually bought the wine for me in the first place 😂

Fresh fruits, berries and nice breads.

No alcohol needed as I don’t drink anymore .

I am a housesitter. I always book a delivery for after the houseowners have left, because sadly I've learnt you can't count on anything.
However - milk so I can have tea before I'm sorted, permission to rummage cupboards and eat what I find, clear instructions if you'd rather I didn't eat certain things.
One woman makes me a (gluten free) cake which is wonderful, one man used to leave a vast box of chocs- I had to ask him to stop! 😅
Everyone leaves some wine. About which I'm not really fussed.
Milk. Butter. Eggs. Onions. Cake, or another treat.
Or ask them?
