Haven’t been paid

Started a new job last month, today is my first payday. I received my pay slip last week and the HMRC is showing it as payments received by me, but I don’t have it!
My boss is away and uncontactable for nearly 10 days. It’s a tiny company and there’s literally no one else I could ask. There’s no way I can get my money is there? 😭

Ask another employee for help (I'm assuming it's not so tiny it's just you and the boss). They might know who to contact.

If today is your payday it may be that it won't show in your account until tomorrow.

There’s 5 including boss but I don’t know anyone else, we all work independently and haven’t had a meet up yet!

I’ve never heard of it coming a day later, that’s so annoying 😢

Can you call your bank to see if it's pending for tomorrow? Or is it a vast/unexpected sum of money so held up due to money laundering regs?! Can you check with HMRC if they know the account it has gone to? Maybe someone transposed a couple of digits.

Have you definitely given them the right bank details?

Double checked bank details and definitely correct. Not a huge sum of money so can’t imagine they’ve stashed it somewhere.
Will call the bank!

Money arrived just after 7, very odd! I think I’ll assume payday is the 26th going forward!
