Help I cannot stop chewing my lips!

I have a very bad habit of chewing and biting the skin on my lips. I have been doing it all day. It’s very satisfying!

Anyone else have bad habit that they cannot stop?

I used to be a very bad skin-picker, I would bite and chew the skin around my nails until they bled - no idea why as I'm not a nervous person. I would also pick at the hard skin on my feet, a truly gross habit! It stopped instantly when I started to have my nails done professionally - the gel layers made it too thick to pick!

I bite my lips too. I really annoy myself but can't seem to stop.

I used to bite my nails. For decades. I went and worked in a very poorly run homeless shelter with many hygiene and safety issues. That cured me.

I also chew my lips, and always bite the skin off them at this time of year. It’s something about the change in the weather, it makes them chap and split and then I make them so much worse. The only thing that helps me is DH telling me off every time he spots me doing it. You have my sympathies it’s hard to stop

Same 😩 I have developed an awful lockdown habit of chewing both bottom lip (which doesn’t look too terrible) and now top lip (which looks ridiculous, I keep catching myself doing it on zoom calls and thinking argh!). It’s a nervous thing for me. I always chewed my bottom lip from time to time but it’s escalated to both now. Don’t know how to stop as don’t realise I am doing it a lot of the time.

I play with my hair (not good when you have curly hair). It ends up looking like a frizz ball after I have finished… I think it’s a anxious habit, I sometimes pull a hair out of it feels wrong too). I have to sometimes sit on my hands to stop myself from absentmindedly doing it.
