Good ear plugs for sleeping?

I'm just back from a weekend away with friends. A really lovely group and a great time had by all. However the hotel was a little noisy, the wind was howling outside and my room mate did snore a little 😆

I have a treÄ·king holiday planned which will involve sleeping in hostels with strangers so I'm thinking I'd better go prepared with ear plugs, but I've just had a Google and there are 100s of different types.

What do I need to block this kind of noise and that will be comfortable to sleep in?

I use Mack’s Pillowsoft. They’re silicone & block off the ear canal, rather than those foam ones that sit inside the ear: the latter never work for me! I have a snorer DH and am generally quite sensitive to noise, and these work for me. They don’t block absolutely everything, but I guess you wouldn’t want them to…

Home bargains do some fantastic silicone ones for 1.99 a box. They’re called hush plugz, you can also get them on Amazon. You just squish them about and they block out loads of noise

I really like the Beary Quiet ones on Amazon, it's about £10 for 30 pairs. Lasts ages. They're foam ones but high-grade and comfortable.
Otherwise the washable solid silicon ones are decent if you're a back sleeper but they make your ears sweat more.
I don't like the re-shapable silicon ones as they come out in the night and embed themselves in my poor hair!

Howard Leight Laser Lite Individually Wrapped Ear Plugs from amazon are comfofrtable and work pretty well.

My DH snores like a Jumbo jet. I have tried every available ear plug. None of them work really well (I use white noise as well) but I find the Howard Leight ones are the best if squashed really thin on insertion and pressed very hard into the ear.

I use the ZenPlugs! Natural silicone and re-usable so I don't have to buy new all the time. Fits perfectly and removes the snoring from the man in the house AND they look neat!
I got mine from https://skoogen.no/
