Missing shopping

Has this ever happened to anyone? I’ve just had an icelands shop and half well more than half of my order is missing, I spent £80 and have only received about £20 worth of food, he went back to the van I assumed it was to get the rest and then he drove off, I called Iceland’s customer service but they won’t help and told me to contact the store?! Even though I ordered online, I called the store and it just goes to voicemail. Any ideas what I can do here?!

Anyone? It’s worse than I though I’ve just totalled it all up and I’ve only received £14.55 worth of shopping out of an £83 shop 🤦🏻

That's awful 😣.

Can you try contacting them on social media like twitter or something? That's what people on here usually advise, to try and make them sit up and notice.

GLASGOWGIRL82 · 24/10/2022 18:36

Post a comment on their facebook page and follow it up with a private message including your name and address and order number. That's what I had to do when my local store wouldn't answer the phone.

JustOrderADoor · 24/10/2022 18:38

I had freezer stuff missing & some freezer stuff that wasn't mine in this weeks shopping but mistakes are very rare & customer services had it sorted in 10 minutes.

TESCO though.

i am unimpressed at how you're being treated.. I'd say the Twitter suggestion is a good one!

SpinningFloppa · 24/10/2022 18:50

Sadly I don’t use twitter etc, I can’t do anything about it now as store shuts a 7 and I haven’t been able to get through despite calling repeatedly!

I hope you get back on the case first thing in the morning.

Honestly it's terrible customer service. Let us know how you get on.

Good luck 🤞

Had this once with Asda. They have a facility to report online but a refund was declined. We called the store and they processed the refund. It was stressful as it had all showed as delivered and I thought the store might refuse.

SpinningFloppa · 24/10/2022 19:13

Couldn’t get through to the store, I’m fuming! £80 worth of shopping and get £14.55 he didn’t even say hello bye nothing if he had said bye I could have called him back but he just walked off so I thought he was getting the rest, so I dragged the bags in and my son said he’s driving off!

Does your email receipt confirm you should have had it all?

Refrosty · 24/10/2022 19:22

Yes, Tesco did this to us. Twice. Processing error apparently; the remainder of our food for loaded into other vans. Both times we got a £5 voucher to say sorry. We don't order from Tesco anymore.

Refrosty · 24/10/2022 19:24

... the remainder of our food was loaded into other vans*

First time, we had to call the main customer service line, who then called the store. Second time, I went to the store with a face of thunder. Never got the rest of my shopping, just a refund.

SpinningFloppa · 24/10/2022 19:28

I stopped ordering with tescos because they kept coming way of the delivery times 3/4 hours early or later than the time I booked but wow at least they had a customer service icelands have told me customer service don’t deal with this and contact the store!

We had a Sunday night delivery with Iceland once, after the store had closed.

Saw the van pull in and drive past us (assumed it was turning because we are in a cul de sac). It didn't appear for a while - then we saw it drive past and out of the street.

They had delivered our weekly shop to someone else in the street and the cheeky fuckers took it and kept it!

Twice with Ocado, first time one bag missing and got a refund ( annoying as was start of lockdown and some if the hard to get items were in that bag). Second time driver somehow missed a crate ( not quite enough missing to be immediately noticeably so only realised once he'd driven off), got a voucher and choice of refund or having the rest delivered next day.

PinkButtercups · 24/10/2022 19:55

My sister had an issue with Iceland.l except they didn't deliver it and wanted to re deliver 2 days later.

She had to phone the store who eventually refunded her.

Nope. I just spent the evening seething and hoping that they choked on some of it.

Sge995 · 15/02/2023 20:33

This has just happened to me!
sent me a text to say no items was missing, was booked deliver 5pm to 7pm
they delivered at 6.59pm with one back equalling £7.50 that’s it. I paid £48.00 online. I don’t know what to do?
I can’t see a form online anywhere. X

SpinningFloppa · 15/02/2023 20:44

Oh no can’t believe it happened to you as well, they are useless! Well to let you know in the end I never managed to get my money back from them so I did a charge back through my bank and 3 months later Iceland took the money back out of my account and the bank sided with them! So I lost my money and never got it back as the bank closed the case. So I would suggest you sorting this out with iceland directly rather than going through the bank like I did, I emailed them initially www.iceland.co.uk/customer-support/contact-us#helpAccordionGetInTouch but was advised best to call the store or go down there if you can as they apparently take the phone off the hook as so many complaints
