My entire existence by such a massive majority is seen as nothing more than an object for the male gaze.
You like makeup? If yes, than you're doing it for male attention and being sexaul.
You like having hobbies? You're not really interested in those hobbies you're just doing it for male attention.
You wore that outfit cause you like it? No you're just wanting male attention.
I just fucking want to be seen as more, as a god damn eqaul. But no matter I do, they always make it about themselves, because to them my existence needs to validated by men. I fucking hate it and its so frustrating.

Who are “they” and can you get them out of your life?

I haven't had any men who are close to me (dad or boyfriend) say this to me but it was mostly guys who were friends of friends. Most of the time they'd see me at parties and assume all this rude stuff about me cause I was dressed up and put effort into my appearanc, they assumed I was looking to hook up cause of this,. I doubt you've done that though, you seem like a good guy and as long as you don't see women's existence as something for men than I doubt you'll upset anyone
