I checked in my sent box & I it states I sent it on behalf of...
then it lists everyone it was invited too!
I don't want all of those to see the message I sent! I only intended for my manager to see.
Please tell me they won't all see this message?? The director & everyone in the dept is on their ffs!

Who was in the cc list when you sent it?

DoodlePug · 24/10/2022 11:26

Assuming you used the proper forward button I think only he will see the message. Possibly also the meeting organiser.

Not everyone though.

MsMiaWallace · 24/10/2022 11:26

No one in cc list. I just forwarded to manager but when checked in sent everyone who was invited to meeting was there

It won't help you, but I did this to my union rep in the middle of a disciplinary process, attaching a load of info I didn't want HR to see. (It still found in my favour.)

Just emailed another colleague said she doesn't have it. Also no out of office ping backs if it was sent out to Everyone??

If you just sent it to them no one else will see it.. where are all the other names? In the body of the message?

ohidoliketobe · 24/10/2022 12:06

Outlook?
If you changed anything in the invite it would have prompted something along the lines of: 'send update to only new attendees' or 'send update to all attendees.
If you just forwarded the invite directly (even with some commentary) it would have gone to the person you sent it to. The meeting organiser (j.e. whoever sent it out in the first place) will have had a meeting forward notification that you sent it on, but won't have been able to see what you said to your line manager in forwarding it on

PatientlyWaiting21 · 24/10/2022 12:10

Yes they will all see it. You can recall it.

MsMiaWallace · 24/10/2022 12:37

Yes it's outlook.
I forwarded it to my manager who is the original organiser too.

If they did all receive it again I didn't receive any out of office emails from recipients who I know have them set.
