Never made a will before and not sure where to begin- whether it’s best to find someone in person or if we should do it online.

Its just a basic will we want (me and husband) leaving everything to our children, but also would like to specify who will have guardianship over our children if we both die before they’re 18.

Just looking for a bit of direction please as it’s something we’ve kept putting off but really need organising. The children are 9 & 6 already.

thanks.

We used Elm Legal Services for our will. It was done by video call and cost £99. Ours was a little more detailed as we're not married and own separate properties so had to make sure his was left to me and vice versa, but it was a very process.

We do pay a fee each month (which was optional) to have it stored securely as we didn't want to store it in the house, or anybody else's, in case of fire etc. But you are welcome to store it yourself if you wish to.
