HRT and changes to period

I'm perimenopausal so still having periods but I need HRT (patches) to help regulate my hormones. I've been using them for around four months now.

My period usually starts at the end of week one of the oestrogen patch, I had it two weeks ago right on schedule.

I'm at the end of week one of the progesterone patch and my period has started again today.

Is this just my cycle regulating itself to the change in patches? Not sure if it's something I need to see the GP about or if it's a common thing.

Sorry I have no answer but I am on the same boat so bumping to see any responses hopefully

Logically I'm guessing that a four week cycle of patches (two weeks on patch one, two weeks on patch two) means my cycle should line up with the patches so I'd have a period at the start of taking patch one, ovulate around about the point of changing from patch one to patch two, and then next period around the point of changing from patch two back to patch one.

But I'm going to be so pissed off if my period shows up again in another two weeks when it should have been due.
