How long are passports taking these days?

As I'm staring down the barrel of another wet half term, I'm thinking it's about time to renew the DC's passports.....

Colleague of mine renewed his and his children's a few weeks ago, he said his kids ones arrived after 3 weeks, his the week after. Another person I know got his after 5 weeks so I'd allow at least a month to 6 weeks to be safe. Both my children and my partner need new ones, I'm dreading the cost, haven't looked to see if they've gone up in price at all.

Not thinking of going anywhere till Feb half term at least, so good to know the mastics backlog seems to have been sorted. I wouldn't dream of booking anything without passports.
