Cheapest way to send heavy luggage within the UK?

Need to send some heavy suitcases from Aberdeen to the south east for uni purposes, is there a way thats not too expensive? Cant take them ourselves, they need to be sent.

Try Shiply, it's a website. You post your needs there and courier/removals companies will bid for the job. If you don't reply for a day or two the prices come down amazingly. I had quotes of £1400 to £90 for a job from London to Glasgow recently.

parcelforce will take upto 30kg ( i think this is the weight limit for a single person anything heavier requires 2 people) length + girth less than 3 metres
large suitcase 75 x 55 x 40 55+40= 95 x 2= 190 (girth) + 75 (length) =265cm so its fine
some couriers will not take suitcases unless boxed the easiest way to do this is get 2-3 crisps type boxes and open them up to wrap suitcase then wrap with brown tape several times in all directions
