NHS letter teferally to gynaecology - not requested nor required

Anyone had similar? It’s so weird. All details on it were correct yet I have no gynaecological
issues and haven’t been to the doctor recently.

Only things I can think of is I’m overdue a smear and im on HRT. Would either of those things trigger a random referral to the hospital?

What does it say? Could be a mix up with someone who has the same name as you.

StrikeandRobin · 22/10/2022 19:13

No. Neither of those things would trigger a referral. Women are waiting a ridiculous time for gynae for things they need to be seen for, it has to be an error.

Oh interesting! I’ve checked the details and they all correspond to me. I’ve written an email asking for be to be taken off the waiting list so hopefully I won’t waste anyone’s time. I’m just sitting here wondering if it’s some premonition of the future 😬

Do tell your GP. There could be someone with similar details to you desperately waiting for that referral
