Posting here for traffic - also posted in property/DIY.
This could be a how long is a piece of string question but any answers welcome.
We are looking to have a new bathroom fitted. We had someone round to quote but he never got in touch (classic) so we really have no idea cost-wise what we’d be looking at.
We want a middle of the range (nothing fancy) bathroom - toilet, sink, shower over the bath. New extractor fan and flooring. We want to replace the tiles with panels instead. Does anyone have any idea how much this would cost with fitting roughly? We are based in the north west, a few miles outside of Manchester. Floor plan with measurements attached! Thanks

I’ve had quotes for £1700 everything included, £2k nothing included and £6k nothing included!!

That was a few months ago…nothing got done so I need to go back looking for quotes!

Bit of a range then!! Were the quotes from recommended tradespeople or places like B&Q?

Two bathrooms - en-suite and master bathroom. Lots of lovely bits like a jacuzzi bath, waterfall taps, everything new

labour - £4k
fixtures and fittings - £4200. Could have cut down here but we opted for ‘naice’ bits.
flooring - £120. Got Lino off cuts from carpet right
tiles about £300 for both bathrooms

We were told panels are not very waterproof. Food for thought.
