I haven't put this in AIBU because it is a statement and you are all wrong. Smile

Agree!! Has to be kept in fridge.
I now am desperate for some lovely cold aero or twix or Mars or anything really (on diet and very chocolate deprived).

Yirk · 22/10/2022 13:04

Yes definitely!

motleymop · 22/10/2022 13:04

Should be the law.

LadyHarmby · 22/10/2022 13:05

Agree

NotquitewhatImeant · 22/10/2022 13:05

I agree too. Especially anything button shaped

Soubriquet · 22/10/2022 13:05

And then dipped in tea

ChessieFL · 22/10/2022 13:06

No, you are all wrong. Has to be room temperature. The only time it goes in the fridge here is when it’s the absolute height of summer and even then it comes out to warm up before I eat it.

Jaggerdagger · 22/10/2022 13:06

I've found my people!

And that's the only time it's at its best Grin

Nope. More chocolatey flavour and superior mouth feel if room temp. But I’ll eat it straight from the fridge too. It’s still chocolate.

landyland · 22/10/2022 13:10

I put mine in the freezer! Chocolate has to be cold and crisp. I hate RT chocolate, it just clogs up your mouth.

lemonsaretheonlyfruit · 22/10/2022 13:11

No it's not

Battlecat98 · 22/10/2022 13:12

No it completely changes the flavour.

bloodyeverlastinghell · 22/10/2022 13:13

Room temperature. Then you should let it melt in your mouth.

CherryLongIsland · 22/10/2022 13:15

No. No. No. I hate fridged chocolate, hard, tasteless and sometimes condensationy.

Howk · 22/10/2022 13:17

Chocolate is best at room temperature. The flavour is all wrong when it’s cold.
That said, most of the shit the shops try to pass off as chocolate nowadays probably is better cold because then you can’t taste how awful it is.

PremsDhaba · 22/10/2022 13:27

Oh no no. Chocolate is prone to absorbing odours from the fridge (or cupboard). Also it causes sugar bloom - where it goes white and spotty. Just needs a cool and dark place, air tight container to keep the cocoa solids and butter emulsion stable.

I did a chocolate making course many moons ago 😆

mavismorpoth · 22/10/2022 13:27

Freezer for me.
Crisps in the fridge.

usernamenotaccepted · 22/10/2022 13:29

No it has to be room temperature and anything else is all kinds of wrong.

Agree. My grandfather owned a cocoa estate in the tropics and I was brought up on real chocolate drinks, lightly flavoured with vanilla. Most chocolate sold in shops should really be labelled "Cocoa flavoured sugar thingy"! 😆

BooksAndHooks · 22/10/2022 13:30

No it doesn’t have any flavour when it comes out of the fridge. It has to be room temperature so it melts in your mouth and has flavour.

user1477249785 · 22/10/2022 13:31

I'm team freezer. It's definitely better direct from there.

Cheesecake53 · 22/10/2022 13:34

Only during a heat wave.
