Stab in the dark here, I know I've seen the name of this on a thread before, but I am searching for the piece of classical music that has violins imitating bird song... like a chirruping and ascending, in a cadence, almost clashing at times...

That's the best description I can do this evening, and I did bloody gcse music, should know better!

It's not the lark ascending or goldfinch, or vivaldi's spring I don't think, I am desperate to know what it's called!!! Can't bloody find it anywhere!

Help!

Can you tell us what sort of period it may have belonged to? Or style? Was it classical/atonal/impressionist/squeaky-gate?

Isn't it the Bridgerton music?

bigbeautifulmonster · 21/10/2022 22:35

Spring... about a minute in.

geraniumthefirst · 21/10/2022 22:35

Ah shit. So it is. Embarrassed now, I was skipping the intro as thought I knew it.

Sorry, boring outcome, and thanks for your help!

@Pixiedust1234 yep, have gone on a veritable musical journey this evening! It's been a long time since I've actually had time to sit and listen to music, so despite my rubbishness, I've been introduced to some more gorgeous music.

Spring 1 by Richter? Based on Spring by Vivaldi

pinkberet · 21/10/2022 22:49

Tbh I've watched Bridgerton and ended up watching the cake thing, thinking it was an ad and waiting for the music.

Don't be embarrassed. I've both watched Bridgerton and got distracted by cake and never once acknowledged the music

Sunnidaze · 21/10/2022 23:19

Yep, Vivaldi, Spring 👍

Kimya · 22/10/2022 10:19

It's Vivaldi. It's Spring.
