Just read this. ITV news are reporting that if Boris were to return as Prime Minister, he could be out of office AGAIN by Christmas.

So basically, he resigned, Liz Truss takes over, she resigns, BJ re-enters office and then has to resign again.

This is just all so ridiculous now! However, who knows if he will get back into office again!

More ridiculous thing I've just read is, that as an ex prime minister, she's entitled to £115000 annual allowance. That's little less than £10000 a month, for little over a month of failed work. It's great to be a politician, even as a bad one!

I totally agree - I can think of plenty of other worthy causes that huge amount of money could be put towards.

Maybe I will join the Tories and stand as an MP and hope I can be Prime Minister one day. I know I’d be a shit politician and PM, but sure I’ll get £115k per year for the rest of my life!

It's a media created farce. They need to be reigned in. No one is going to win whilst they pick holes in anything and everything.
Years ago the tea time news used to be on for 10 minutes or so, now on ITV it's on for an hour and half, even the local news covers national / international stories. If they can rustle up a minor scandal they can whip up a frenzy to give them something to report / rabbit on, then use the same content to make a miriad of other (shite) programmes, for example GMTV, This Morning, Loose Women, Peston.

We sat down to watch Grand Designs night of the fracking vote but didn’t watch it as couldn’t quite bring ourselves to switch over from the news.

I'm wondering if we could possibly be annexed by a more sensible country and then they could take over running us. Norway perhaps.

Well, Grand Designs was a bit of a cautionary tale about letting your ego overtake rational decision making and wasting huge amounts of money and causing misery to those caught in the crossfire. Familiar….

I'm not sure enough of the Privileges Commitee to trust that it will deliver a just judgment. There are 4 Conservative and 3 non-Conservative members and I don't know the Conservative members well enough to trust that they will be non-partisan (except for Bernard Jenkyn who I am sure will not be!).
