I have a cd in my car, its called the most relaxing classical music in the world....ever and is cd 2 of 2

but I don't have a cover and I really like track 15

I know that track 9 is the theme tune to Morse, 10 is Debussy

but when I tr and search online I ca n't find the cd tracks listed in the correct order to find out what track 15 is

and the cd would have been produced before 1999

how do I find out

ive tried googling without success

Download the Shazam app and play it - it’s really good at identifying music. I use it for adverts all the time. And let us know what it is!

iklboo · 21/10/2022 20:30

What colour are the discs? They did two - one with an orange cover /discs, the other was blue. I think.

ivykaty44 · 21/10/2022 20:31

the disc is green

You need Shazam.

iklboo · 21/10/2022 20:33

Definitely Shazam!

ivykaty44 · 21/10/2022 20:33

I don't have disc one or the cover...I found it in the car and was from when I worked for EMI and got to choose 4 discs a month free - I left in 1998 and went back for a week in 1999

BaggyAndWrinkled · 21/10/2022 20:35

Clair de lune?

iklboo · 21/10/2022 20:36

Yes you can - it's free (and great!)

BaggyAndWrinkled · 21/10/2022 20:36

It's my favourite Debussey piece

KatherineofGaunt · 21/10/2022 20:36

If you have an android phone just press the mic symbol on the Google search bar (I have one on my home screen) and click 'Search for a song'. Then play it. No app needed.

Nomad98 · 21/10/2022 20:36

Is it this?

iklboo · 21/10/2022 20:37

OP says Track 10 is Debussy, so probably not Clair de Lune, I shouldn't think.

iklboo · 21/10/2022 20:37

That's what I was wondering @Nomad98 - Nimrod.

Unicorn2022 · 21/10/2022 20:40

Is this it OP?

Piece of music and I can't find the name
GlitchStitch · 21/10/2022 20:41

Elgar- Nimrod
Borodin- Nocturne

Both track 15 on double CD if that helps?

TimeForMeToF1y · 21/10/2022 20:43

You're making a simple task quite complicated, this is what music identifying apps are for?

You could have downloaded and identified quixcker than typing your OP 😀

iklboo · 21/10/2022 20:46

OP didn't know about Shazam etc.

ivykaty44 · 21/10/2022 20:46

Ive just been out to the car in my dressing gown and played the piece, its the one above.

Ive been listening to it as I drove across Portugal, it will ever be entwined with the magical red soil and old towns and village I drove though, the cd is so old not all the tracks play.

I do love Debussy, but knew it wasn't Debussy

thank you so very much

ivykaty44 · 21/10/2022 20:47

GlitchStitch id found both those, thanks but they must have changed the order of the tracks at some point

I remember when I first got a smartphone a colleague said I should download Shazam and MyFitnessPal. Just play the CD to your phone IP. Crikey I remember ringing Shazam twenty years ago.

ivykaty44 · 21/10/2022 20:49

Unicorn2022 Yes, thank you for that

i didn’t know about the Shazam app
