Bathroom light for children?

Ezra93 · 21/10/2022 20:17

My DC4 is now able to use the bathroom independently. Unfortunately, the darker evenings have started to make this difficult as they can't reach the light switch! This makes them reliant on me to turn the light on/off.

Any suggestions on a light they could use themselves? I'm thinking of something like a night light, but for the bathroom.

Thanks in advance.

I bought this pack of sensor lights from Amazon and have them in the hall and bathrooms. Not so much for little ones but because the two young adult DS kept forgetting to turn lights off www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08RXVJG49/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

We have one of these in the hallway, so they can see their way to the bathroom.

Thanks. According to your link they are also good for people who "... want a night light to light your hardworking husband's way at night?" 🙂

Search toilet light on Amazon. There's a cool little gadget you can get that lights up the loo💡

My boys' bathroom always had a long light pull, could you change the switch for a pull? The one they've currently got has a cute little monkey on the end (from Dunelm) which matches their toilet roll holder.

Mine used to have a child's wooden chair under the light switch in the hall outside the bathroom so they could stand on it and reach it. I think we moved to a kids step thing when they got taller.

Step stool to reach the light?

Battery operated night light.

Get them a cool torch.

I just leave the bathroom lights on. They’re hue bulbs though so set to a dim glow overnight.

We have this in the bathroom. Plug it in the charge it during the day and leave it on dimly in the bathroom at night. It can also be used for camping, etc.

Rechargeable motion sensor lights. They are brilliant.
I use them on my stairs and landing and in the bathroom.

Different types. These are the ones I have on my stairs and need charging about every 2 to 3 weeks

My dd4 has a torch that we keep on her bedside table for nighttime toilet trips. She loves it and said it's like going on an adventure 😂

Is it a pull cord or a switch.

if it's a pull cord just tie a bit of string on the end to make it longer.
